Fully insured Adam is a registered practitioner and teacher with the Shiatsu Society (UK) and is available for both treatments and tutorials in Shiatsu, Tuina and Chi Kung.
What is Chi Kung (Qi Gong) Chi Kung is an ancient form of exercise originating in China.
Chi Kung translates as 'energy exercise' or 'to work one's energy' an important aspect of Chinese Medicine. Chi Kung has developed into many different styles and forms over the millennia.
Tuina - what is it? Tuina is a form of therapeutic massage originating from China.
The treatment is given following the same diagnostic principles as acupuncture and as such the practitioner will look at how the client generates stores and circulates their energy as a result of taking into account all the various factors which may affect a person's life.
Shiatsu - How can it help you?Shiatsu is a form of non-invasive holistic bodywork therapy, which comes from Japan with its roots based in Chinese medicine.
Shiatsu principles incorporate healthcare, philosophy and self-development and relate these to the principles of Yin and Yang. (Potential for balance)
It is not a requirement to be ill to benefit from Shiatsu as it is also received as a form of preventative medicine and relaxation.
About Adam HellingerAdam has studied bodywork and Chi Kung since 1990. This began with receiving Alexander Technique and also starting to study Tai Chi Chuan, and has developed with the main focus being upon the integration of body, mind and spirit. Graduating from the British School of Shiatsu Do (BSS-DO) in 1997 Adam has become a member of the teaching staff at the BSS-DO in 2000. He is also a registered teacher with the Shiatsu Society (UK) MRSS T.
Since 1992 Adam has continued to study and develop in the Chi Kung style of Zhan Zhuang (Standing Chi Kung) with a focus on the healing and integrative physical aspects of this Chinese art.
