ABOUT

Jacqueline Molony (formerly Jacqueline Cook) is a Shiatsu Master and Teacher with over 15 years' experience of alleviating pain and problems quickly.

After numerous years practising Ohashiatsu from which she qualified and graduated, Jacqueline went on to develop i-atsu(TM) for people as a natural progression from her original studies.

Jacqueline introduced and launched Equine Shiatsu to the UK from the USA in 1996 and then went on to pioneer Shiatsu for Dogs in 1998 now known as shi-animal-atsu(TM) for horses and dogs.

In 2003, she opened Roseheart Kingdom a ‘Therapy Centre for People & Animals’ in Shropshire, which is the only centre in the world where you can receive treatments and learn the ancient Japanese art of Shiatsu for People, Horses and Dogs.It became the permanent base for the existing complementary therapy practice that was established in 1996.

"It was a great comfort to know that Roseheart Kingdom is one of the longest established
schools in the country and was the very first
to offer courses in shiatsu for horses & dogs - and continues to go from strength to strength today."
Verity Jones, Plymouth, UK

Roseheart Kingdom provides DIY,Part & Full Livery services, a Retirement Home for Ponies and Horses and a Rehabilitation Centre for Horses & Dogs.

disappeared completely after two treatments
and the remaining 15% have noticed that
their life threatening conditions were easier
to manage with less pain"

About Jacqueline

Jacqueline Cook-Molony
Shiatsu Master / Teacher, Reiki Master, B.H.S AI, N.C.M.H, A.N.C.E.B.M

Jacqueline was born and brought up on a farm in the North West of Scotland where her parents ran a busy trekking centre for many years. They had in total about 35 horses and ponies, including four stallions, mares and youngstock. Here Jacqueline spent many hours just watching and observing them, seeing how they got on. Her father was very friendly with the local Riding School owner/local dealer and as a gutsy talented rider it was here and with her families own horses that she gained a lot of experience working with problem horses. She later went on to qualify to work with horses through the B.H.S and National Certificates.

Her involvement in Shiatsu came about towards the end of 1995 when her mare BeeBob became intermittently lame. Now Beebob was a very talented jumper and excelled in show jumping, hunter trials and one & two day eventing. She was also driven, doing well in driving trials. Her lameness became gradually worse and eventually she found it difficult to go for even a short drive on the flat. Riding her was almost unbearable, and jumping became a series of refusals.

The vet had been out several times and carried out various tests but found nothing to explain BeeBob’s problem. Jacqueline decided on a second opinion, and took BeeBob on a 1½ hour journey for a scan. This showed up inflammation in her lumbar area leading down to the lower body.

The vet could only prescribe anti-inflammatory injections for the pain she was suffering and these only worked for a short time, Jacqueline could not believe that was “it” for her dearest equine friend, who was so young.

Jacqueline had been loaned a copy of a book by Pamela Hannay, ‘Touching Horses’ now re-written and called ‘Shiatsu Therapy for Horses’. The book was about applying Shiatsu to horses, as Jacqueline had never heard about Shiatsu before but was willing to give it a go. So she read about some of the techniques in the book and had a go and within a few weeks the results were amazing. Jacqueline was desperate to invite this lady to come and work more on BeeBob and from here the story really begins.

Jacqueline brought the pioneering work of Pamela Hannay from the USA to the UK in 1996. Today you will find that the UK is the only country in the whole world that has seen such a growth of Shiatsu therapy for animals. Pamela Hannay and Jacqueline Cook came together to form a five year partnership to establish a new era in animal healing.

Very sadly Pamela Hannay died in 2001 leaving Jacqueline Molony (nee Cook) as her only Qualified Teacher of the Pamela Hannay method of Shiatsu Therapy for Horses. Their teachings have been based upon the advanced intuitive principles taught at the Ohashiatsu Institute in New York, where they both had trained in human Ohashiatsu.

Today Beebob is still alive and enjoying full retirement at the grand old age of 31. She thoroughly enjoys meeting the new students and teaching them how she should be touched.

Jacqueline went on to develop shiatsu therapy for dogs in 1998. Jacqueline pioneered and actually put together the course structure for dogs to include the Anatomy & Physiology modules. She recognised that the dog world has to date been lacking detailed information regarding dog Anatomy & Physiology.

Both the Horse and Dog shiatsu courses were developed by Jacqueline to meet both veterinary standards and the European regulations.

Her recognised results have gained her many public appearances to include appearing on BBC's ‘Heaven & Earth’ with Jennie Bond the star of ‘I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here’ and BBC’s former Royal Correspondent, also on ITV Good Morning working with Vet ‘Scott Miller’ and on BBC 2 ‘Pets are People’ to name a few.

SERVICES

Shiatsu
Shiatsu is a sister therapy to Acupuncture. Instead of needles we use our hands, using pressures, stretches and articulations to bring about beneficial changes. The touch is gentle, using only our own natural body weight for pressure.

‘i-atsu'(TM) is the trade name given to the human work and syllabus and the animal work appears under the trade name of ‘shi-animal-atsu’(TM). This will identify what type of shiatsu you have received or studied and with whom, as there are around seven or so different types of shiatsu around the world.

Reiki
Reiki captures the wonders of life, allowing us to go forward through our lives without fear. It teaches us how to enjoy our lives, appreciate its gifts, give service for others, and live up to our full potential. This alone allows us to acknowledge our blockages, releasing our fears, to live our life as intended in blissful happiness.

Our lives, along with the animal kingdom were designed to be the most amazing journey ever, full of wonder, magical experiences; child like desires for all that was put in front of us, for we were all designed to have the right amount of ingredients to hear our hearts sing. Life was never designed to have as so often seen, a journey of misery and disappointment. Today’s ‘stress’ is the core of world congestion, tipping the balance of our emotions within, co-creating all emotional and physical problems in people and in animals.

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy for you and your pets

Aromatherapy is seen as one of the simplest and gentlest complementary therapies you can use. The art of aromatherapy has been around for thousands of years and is based on the use of concentrated oils extracted from plants, flowers and fruits. The aromatic oils, also known as essential oils, work on the whole body to restore the natural balance on the physical, emotional and mental levels.

How does it work?

It is thought that aromatherapy works in two ways; directly by the smell, picked up by the sensory cells in the nose which are closely linked to the mood centres and the nervous system and also by the oils being absorbed through the skin in minute qualities.

Kinesiology
Due to time constraints Jacqueline can only offer Distant Kinesiology.

In order to understand how ‘Distant Kinesiology’ works it is advisable to read the information below on Kinesiology as this will give you the basis to understand distant kinesiology.

Kinesiology (pronounced Kin-easy-ology) is a non-invasive method of the scientific study of movement (from the Greek "kinesis," meaning motion) which uses muscle testing to determine imbalances or disharmonies in the mind, body, or spirit.

‘Learning could not have been made easier’

Dear Visitor,

Firstly, thank you so much for your interest in wanting to learn one of the above complementary therapies for people, horses and dogs. As awareness of these therapies is growing, we are all becoming more and more aware of what is available to assist our aches and pains naturally. The use of complementary therapy has been used since man can remember and over the last decade there has been a huge increase available for horses and dogs.

Today we live in a society of ‘a throw away world’, ‘disposable things’ and ‘quick fixes’. So “well done you” if you have seen beyond these things and are now ready to discover and learn about something that has been tried and tested thousands of years ago. With nothing more than a pair of hands and a great heartfelt desire to find a way to alleviate a wide range of problems through finger and hand pressure, if your interest is Reiki healing you will be using your hands to channel the universal energy. Now you can’t get any more natural than that! And once learnt – never forgotten, a gift of a lifetime.

We use our hands so much in our lives and for many of us it has probably never really crossed our minds that we can use our hands to help others or to use them as an alternative to medication to assist a problem or condition. But thankfully in today’s world we have not totally forgotten how to support someone in their hour of need with a gentle lending hand or hug; this also allows us to appreciate the small things in life that make a big difference.

We all know somebody who does not keep good health, and each time we see them how we long and wish we could help them. Well here you are, now you can and you can learn to help your horse and dog too; saving you a fortune on those vet bills! You can learn to help others or you choose to make a complete career change, many do.

We trust that you enjoy your visit to our website today and thank you for spending your time with us. We really look forward to hearing from you soon and welcoming you to Roseheart Kingdom Therapy Centre for People & Animals.

Warmest wishes and kind regards,

Jacqueline & Tim Molony
The i-atsu(TM) and shi-animal-atsu(TM) Promotional Team

Press Release/Notice regarding the three treatment rule:
Jacqueline is urgently advising owners that when they ask a Shiatsu Therapy Practitioner to work on their animals, it is important that they expect the initial problem they were concerned with to be alleviated within three sessions/treaments. If a practitioner is recommending that they have more sessions/treatments to treat the problem, the owner must question this, and also why their pet is not making the changes they should rightfully expect within these guidelines.
