About Us
‘With Woman Ltd’ was established in 2011 following a vision to create a service that would bring assistance in Pre conception, allow a naturalistic approach to pregnancy and birth whilst providing the support we all want when we go home with our little bundle of joy. The ‘With Woman’ Team will provide bespoke quality education and care with a naturalistic approach in mind and within a natural environment. A team of highly qualified practitioners that are here for you when you need us the most.
The Team
Andrea Taylor-Stoneman (Director) dip HE RM, dip HB, Registered with NMC and a Member of RCM I trained as a Midwife in 2003 at Kings Mill Hospital. I have extensive experience within labour suite, but also rotate to the wards. I have the passion to ensure women and their partners are prepared for labour and birth and ensure that they receive all the support they need when their baby arrives. I am a fun, outgoing person and love cuddles especially with babies! I am engaged to my long term partner Luke and I am the mother of 3 beautiful children, Kieran 16, Olivia 15 and Louis 11. I have experienced the IVF journey through surrogacy recently and can appreciate the difficulties this brings. I am a Governor at my local primary school and have been involved in a variety of fund raising events. My motto in life is “Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.” -Aristotle
Carolyn Walker, dip HE RM, Registered with NMC and Member of RCM I trained as a Midwife at Kings Mill Hospital in 2007. I am an experienced midwife within all areas in particular Community. I am passionate about my job and I take great joy supporting couples within the community. As a community midwife I have seen the need for extra support, I am thrilled to be part of the ‘With Woman’ team that will be able to offer this to the women of Nottingham. I am an outgoing individual that loves life. I have 3 children that I love dearly. My motto in life is…never to have any regrets!
Laura Bestwick BSc Hons in Midwifery Dip HE, RM, National Certificate in Science Clinical Physiology I trained as a midwife at Derby Hospital through The University of Nottingham. I am an experienced Community midwife with extensive experience in home birthing, antenatal classes and postnatal care. I am a caring individual with a wealth of knowledge. Emma Kelley I am a transitional care clinical support worker and work within a very busy maternity unit. I have worked in this position since 2005 and previous to that I have worked as a private nanny for a midwife. I have extensive experience with low birth weight/premature babies and specialize in breastfeeding support. I am also trained in Neonatal resuscitation. For the past six years of working within the maternity unit, it has been extremely rewarding working alongside new parents and overcoming the obstacles of breast feeding. I am extremely enthusiastic in my role working as a Doula with ‘With Woman’, and I will endeavour to provide quality time with you in the comfort and privacy of your own home, making sure all your needs are met. Whether it’s rest time you are needing or support and advice, I will be there to help. My motto in life is ‘To bring joy to one’s life is inspirational’.
Linda Harrington. BSc (Hons)TCM Acupuncture, ODP and epiduralist. I have a wealth of health care knowledge; I hold a British honours degree in The Theory of Chinese Medicine acupuncture (TCM) but I am also an Operating Department Practitioner and Epiduralist, who has worked within the NHS for over 20 years. I provide individuals with an expert health needs assessment and treatment plan, with full explanation of what to expect in a relaxing atmosphere and operates from a fully functional treatment centre based in my home, but also offers a mobile service. My service is designed to cater for each individual, giving treatments that meet all regulations ensuring cleanliness and sterility of all equipment used every time. I offer a range of treatments to suit the needs of each woman both pre and post natal. I am a member of the British Acupuncture Association, The association of traditional Chinese medicine and The Health Professions Council, I am fully insured and licensed for my practise. Most people find acupuncture relaxing and often feel very calm after a treatment. I am married with grown up children and grand children. I live within the Hucknall area. My motto in life is “Yesterday’s the past, tomorrow’s the future, but today is a gift. That’s why it’s called the present.”
Gillian Cant I trained as a reflexologist back in 1995 and have worked independently throughout my career. I trained through the International institute of Reflexologist in Nottingham. I have a varying cliental from children to adults specialising in fertility and pregnant women. I fully enjoy my job and get great satisfaction. I have been married to David for 43 years and live in Ravenshead. I have two grown up children and 7 Grand children. My intention is to ‘relieve stress and pain in other parts of the body through the manipulation of the feet’.
Jane Tasker I am an experienced Breastfeeding adviser that has over 15 years experience within this field. I have supported woman through voluntary groups such Le Leche. I have 4 beautiful children so have plenty experience of dealing with the trails and tribulation a new born baby can bring. I bring with me to ‘With Woman’ a loving, caring persona and a understanding of being a new mummy and daddy. I am married to Ashley and currently reside in Huthwaite. My motto in life is “Throw your heart into the game and the rest will follow.”
Lin Ryan I am a midwife and resucitation trainer with nearly ten years experience, who continues to find enjoyment in supporting women and their families through childbirth and early parenting. I passionately believe that Basic Life Support skills (CPR) are something that everyone should hold, and gain lots from teaching others adult and infant resuscitation. I am married with a 4 year old son and our second child is due spring 2012. I also gained valuble insight into breastfeeding the preterm baby and other feeding challenges from my own experiences, which have inspired my support of others. My motto in life is ” make the most of every day”
Corinne Light I am qualified Homeopath, Bowen Therapist and Emotional Freedom Technique. I have 20 years experience within these fields. I have a varying cliental from children to adults specialising in fertility, pregnant women and newborn infants. I fully enjoy my job and get great satisfaction. I live within the Nottinghamshire area.
