Welcome to Yoga Healing Therapy
I have been practicing Pranayama with the Art of Living Foundation for 11 years before I was introduced to Bikram yoga 8 years ago. Since then I have learnt various styles including Ashtanga, Jivamukti and more recently kundalini Yoga. I began teaching yoga to children 4 years ago. In 2008 I travelled to India to complete an intensive yoga teacher training course at the Yoga Vidya Dham Ashram where I experienced the true meaning of Hatha yoga and developed a more spiritual approach .
While in India for 5 months I practiced with various great yoga teachers. I returned to India early this year to qualify as a yoga therapist. Since then I have implemented in my classes everything I learnt and experienced during my trip to India. I view yoga as a powerful healing tool that can be applied on any and all levels to the body and mind. Through experience I know that yoga helps to change the patterns of the mind which are the cause of mental and physical illnesses thus allowing the body’s self healing functions to operate.
My Yoga Classes
My yoga classes reflect my own practice and understanding of the mind, body and spirit as One. Classes begin with short relaxation, breathing exercises to steady and focus the mind, warm up, flowing asanas sequences with benefits given and variations adapted to individual needs, deep relaxation followed by pranayama and meditation.
To keep the class inspiring, asanas sequences are ever changing with music playing during the class. The advantage of flow hatha yoga combined with breathing exercises during and between sequences result in a very steady workout and increase mental focus.
It will leave everyone feeling reconnected, relaxed and invigorated. I am a registered yoga teacher equivalent to 200 hours yoga alliance I teach regularly on a one to one basis as a yoga therapist, have specialized as a chair yoga teacher for people with less ability and teach yoga for children. I am a Reiki practitioner and an Ayurvedic massage therapist.
Hatha Yoga Class
