Do you ever catch yourself holding your shoulders up for no apparent reason?
When you drop your shoulders again, that sense of relief can be called 'resting in neutral physical, mental and/or emotional state'.
Our body needs that neutral resting space as we all have holding patterns that are so habitual and that can literally leave a strong imprint on the membranes of your body. Most of these patterns begin as an emotional situation before then becoming also physical. This is the reason why as a massage therapist I believe in working in the context of the 'mind and body', considering the person not only as a physical organism but as a combination of three elements: BODY - MIND - SOUL.
I really strongly think awareness is the key.
The more we see ourselves only in one way, the less available we are both functionally and in attitude to become something else. My HOLISTIC approach combines aromatherapy with soft and deep tissue techniques (when needed) and myofascial release to restore balance to the system and help become more aware how to improve your state of mind.
Massage in Pregnancy
In addition, I also work with pregnancy massage applying these principles to a tailor made treatment that can help to ease the discomfort of pregnancy and prepare you physically and mentally for the birth of your baby.
Location, Time & Fees
I am based in north London at Shine on the Green of Newington Green, close to the border with Islington N1. I am available there every Thursday from 3 to 9 pm. The price for 1hr treatment is £50. (different monthly offers available).
