The Osteopath in Bourne was established in 2007 by Philip Hakim B.Sc. (Hons) Ost. a graduate of the British School of Osteopathy in London.
Osteopathy places an emphasis on the relationships between the body's structure, framework and function. Osteopaths use a "hands on" approach using a variety of techniques such as:
Massage and stretching techniques.
Gentle joint mobilisation.
Releasing contracted muscles by working against resistance.
Counter stretching restricted joints and muscles whilst in position of comfort in order to achieve release.
Joint manipulation.
Treatment is always tailored to suit the needs of the individual covering a wide range of complaints such as:
Back, Neck and Shoulder pain.
RSI and Tennis Elbow.
Sciatica and Frozen Shoulder.
Muscle and Joint Complaints.

The practice now runs an expectant mothers clinic as well as a sports injuires clinic.
At 'The Osteopath' we pride ourselves on the number of 'word of mouth' referrals that for sometime now has been the main source of our growing patient list.
Every patient is assessed and given a medical diagnosis. From that a comprehensive treatment and management plan that includes advice on posture and excercises as appropriate is put together.
