SERVICES
ABOUT JACKIE
Jackie is a fully qualified, licensed acupuncturist and a member of the British Acupuncture Council. She trained at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, graduating in 1999. She is also a qualified massage therapist (ITEC 1994) and practices QiGong, both of which influence her acupuncture style.

To help maintain the highest standards of practice, she has professional supervision and is now a qualified supervisor for other acupuncturists.

She lives in the village of Congresbury, with her husband and three children.

HOW MUCH TREATMENT IS NEEDED

Coming for traditional acupuncture is an opportunity to discuss your overall well-being as well as whatever specific concerns you have. On your first visit I ask about your current state of health and your medical history. I also ask about your diet, digestion, sleep and emotional state. I will take your pulse, look at your tongue and do a physical examination as appropriate; everything you say is confidential.

Typically, a course of acupuncture begins with 3-4 weekly sessions. We assess and review your progress together regularly. Issues which have been around for a long time generally require a longer course of acupuncture.

Often, I include massage, acupressure, trigger point acupuncture and stretches to reinforce the acupuncture's effects. Where it will be beneficial the Chinese therapy of warming points, or cupping is used, and, occasionally, the more modern practice of electro-acupuncture.

A course of acupuncture is frequently used to complement programmes of western medical treatment, as for example with fertility treatment such as IVF.

TESTIMONIALS

Jackie always provided a calm, safe, welcoming atmosphere for our sessions. She was an immense support to me throughout the process. For an hour each mad, emotional week I stopped. She 'reset' me and sent me back out into the world, being better than when I had arrived
P.A. from Somerset

In Jackie I found a very professional, calm and caring individual, someone who is a good listener and can offer sound advice beyond acupuncture. Following a course of treatment comprising acupuncture and massage I made a significant recovery. I was able to stop taking my pain killers and during a follow up appointment with my specialist, her conclusion was to cancel the operation that in her own words had seemed an absolute certainty.
Even today, I still marvel at how far I have come and how much better I feel in myself. For that I am truly indebted to Jackie.
Mr P.F. from Yatton

Since having acupuncture each month over the past 2 and a half years, I have found my general health to have improved. I get fewer colds and feel energised and healthy too.
Mrs H-M from Shipham

I find Jackie to be an extremely competent and professional practitioner. I have no hesitation whatsoever in giving my personal recommendation based on the enormous help she has given me.
Mrs K.K. from Winscombe
