Your Choice of Therapies

Therapies work in accordance with the theory that Qi, or life-powering energy, flows through our bodies, enabling us to fulfil our potential. When Qi flow is disturbed anywhere in the body, imbalances that result can cause pain, stiffness, sickness, and emotional stress.
Therapies focus on stimulating the meridians, or pathways that channel energy throughout the body and are among the most effective ways to rebalance Qi.

Tui Na massage is applied to the clothed body with the client either sitting or reclining on a couch. It is a vigorous massage but the pressure can be adjusted to individual needs, making this a therapy that is suitable for people of all ages, including children.
If a phobia of needles has ever put you off Acupuncture then Tui Na is an excellent alternative. It focuses on the same acupoints and can deliver relief from a wide range of conditions, even when used on its own.

Indonesian massage - another form of deep-tissue massage for the relief of muscular pain and tension, applied directly to the skin using oils. Indonesian massage therapy can be used alone, or combined very effectively with Tui Na massage.

Acupuncture - fine needles are used to stimulate specific acupoints to promote the smooth flow of Qi by removing blockages to restore health and well-being. Acupuncture is particularly effective when combined with Tui Na massage.

Tai Chi - Sean also teaches this gentle form of exercise, which is suitable for all ages and works in harmony with the meridian system of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Classes combine simple exercises designed to promote the flow of Qi with learning one of the Tai Chi forms.

Evening classes run throughout the year, except in August, and take beginners at any time.

See the website for more details.

*** Monday Daytime Class ***
Sean runs a gentle, daytime class aimed at the less active person, and particularly suited to those who wish to stay fit and well in later years. The class runs every Monday, 2:30 - 4:00pm at the Guildhall, Cardigan.
