I am a professional sports and remedial massage therapist who is also qualified in holistic and hot stone massage.
I am based in Bishop Auckland but will also travel to your home in the North East if you would prefer.
Sports and remedial massage is a treatment suitable for everyone of any age. It incorporates many different techniques from the commonly used treatment using oils along with massage strokes to treatments that can be carried out through clothing in any environment whether at an event immediately before or after competing or in a neighbours lounge following a hard days gardening.
So if you're suffering from aches and pains whether it be from a sports injury, repetative strain, twisting awkwardly when you picked the kids up or just to treat yourself I can offer the treatment you need.
About Us
I am qualified with the London School of Sports Massage and hold a BTEC level 5 Professional Diploma in Sports and Remedial Massage which is the highest ahievable qualification to be recognised in Britain.
All graduates from the LSSM must be members of the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage which governs professionalism and insists on a high level of career practice development to ensure continuing high standards.
I began training in massage in 2004 and gained an ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage, a treatment which not only considers aching muscles but the mind, body and spirit.
I then incorporated hot stone massage which follows the same holistic approach but uses heated basalt stones which have been pushed to the earths surface by volcanic action. The heat in the stones greatly increases circulation and used in conjunction with ice cold stones can have outstanding effects on tight sore muscles.
Services
Sports Massage which can incorporate soft tissue release, muscle energy technique, neuromuscular technique and myofacial release: £22.50 for 40 min or £32.50 for 1 hr
Hot Stone Massage which consists of a full body massage using heated stones and oils: £45.00 for 1 hr
Holistic Massage to indulge yourself and relax, either consisting of a full body massage or concentrating on the neck, back and shoulders: £30.00 for 1 hr
