Reiki
Reiki pronounced ‘Ray-Key’, originated in Japan and means universal energy. Universal energy is an unseen energy which flows through the universe and all living things. Caring Touch Massage
Let me tell you a bit about the benefits of a hand and foot massage for the elderly.
Massage for the elderly can greatly boost their own natural healing levels and also boost their mental awareness, due to the improved circulation in blood and oxygen levels. It also helps with reducing muscle tension and improve sleep patterns giving a better quality of rest, which has significant effects on their general health and wellbeing but one of the most important factors in giving a “Comfort Touch massage” is the benefit of enjoying the simple pleasure of the human touch and company for just a brief period of time is priceless for many lonely seniors.
I am fully mobile and will bring everything with me, which allows the client to feel more relaxed, as they are in their own environment. The treatments take about 20 minutes each. I use lovely relaxing aromatic hand and foot creams, which will soften the skin and leave you feeling lovely and relaxed.
A small charge will be made for mileage above 5 miles distance. Also I can use Aromatherapy oils in the treatments which will have a charge (please ask for details)
The Consultation
Before you treatment you will receive a free full consultation which takes about 15-20 minutes.
During the consultation please be open about any illness or medical history, as some conditions need your Doctors agreement, for the therapy to take place. (If you are being treated for any illnesses by your doctor and take regular medication I will need your Doctors agreement these conditions are high/low blood pressure, Diabetes, Heart disease and circulatory problems). In this case the treatment will not be able to commence until your GP’s agreement has been received. I can either send a letter requesting agreement from your GP or you can speak to your GP yourself.
(In case of pregnancy a treatment cannot be received until after the third trimester)

About the Treatments
Where will the treatment take place?
.The treatment will take place in a lovely treatment room in my own home,( this is upstairs). And you will have my full and un-divided attention, there is no being rushed in and out and waiting for one appointment to end, and your treatment will start as soon as you arrive.
The treatment room is lit with lovely relaxing lighting and soothing calming music, it is a lovely, cosy room.
(I will ask that you remove your shoes on entering my home, I hope this doesn’t offend)
