Acupuncturist - is a form of ancient Chinese medicine in which fine needles are inserted into the skin at certain points on the body. Acupuncture is based on the belief that an energy, or 'life force', flows through the body in channels called meridians. This life force is known as Qi (pronounced 'chee'). Practitioners who adhere to traditional beliefs about acupuncture believe that when Qi cannot flow freely through the body, this can cause illness. They also believe that acupuncture can restore the flow of Qi, and so restore health. Acupuncturists, use acupuncture to treat a wide range of health conditions. It is often used to treat pain conditions such as headache, lower back pain and dental pain, but is also commonly used against conditions ranging from infertility to anxiety and asthma.
Aromatherapy - doesn't just smell good, it also benefits you in many ways. Some aromatherapy benefits that are more commonly known include relaxation and stress relief. mood enhancement, balance and well being, boosting the immune, respiratory and circulatory systems. Aromatherapy is a great, natural compliment or alternative to other health treatment. Aromatherapy doesn’t “cure” major illnesses but it is effective at alleviating many of the discomforts associated with them.

Essential oils are the heart of aromatherapy. They have been used to heal wounds, energize, improve skin tone, relax muscles, regulate hormones. reduce inflammation, relieve menstrual cramps, improve sleep, stimulate the immune system, kill fungal & bacterial infections, decrease sinus & lung congestion, aid digestion, relieve tension headaches and aid blood circulation
Bodytalk - is an astonishingly simple and effective holistic therapy that allows the body's energy systems to be re-synchronized so they can operate as nature intended. Each system, cell, and atom is in constant communication with each other at all times. Through exposure to the stresses of day-to-day life, however, these lines of communication can become compromised or disconnected, which then leads to a decline in physical, emotional and/or mental well-being. Reconnecting these lines of communication enables the body's internal mechanisms to function at optimal levels, thus repairing and preventing disease while rapidly accelerating the healing process. In this way, BodyTalk stimulates the body's innate ability to balance and heal itself on all levels.
Chiropractor - Our chiropractor uses a particularly gentle form of treatment which aims to restore nerve function and promote natural healing and can help with back and neck pain, headaches and miraines, sciatica, loss of strength and movement, pain in the shoulders, arms, hands, hips, knees and feet. Chiropractors are primary healthcare professionals concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effect of these disorders on the functioning of the nervous system and general health. Treatment involves using the hands to apply a specific force to adjust the joints of the body, concentrating particularly on the spine. Treatment may also involve working on muscles. Chiropractors treat chronic and acute conditions and take a holistic approach to the needs of clients, considering physical, psychological and social factors, and recognise the value of working with other healthcare practitioners.
Daoyin Tao® - pronounced DOW YIN TOW as in TOWN, is a Chinese face neck and shoulder massage. By definition, Daoyin Tao ® is a harmonious blend of softened and adapted Chinese and Western massage skills which create a powerful synergy and brings relaxation and balance to the whole body through contact on the face, neck, head and shoulders only. Meridians and acupoints are used to treat chi disturbances which are the root of ill health. The test is non-invasive.
Homeopathy - is a safe medicine for everyone, of all ages. It works either alongside or instead of ordinary medicine and stimulates the body's own energy to return to good health and wellbeing. Homeopathy treats the whole person as a unique individual, addressing the causes of an illness rather than just looking at a list of symptoms. It can help with both short-term and chronic conditions and whether your ailments are physical or emotional.
Hopi Ear Candle Treatment - also known as (Thermal Auricular Therapy) is an ancient and natural therapy, practised by the native American Hopi Indians of North Arizona. 'Hopi' means peaceful people. Hopi candles are made to a high quality using natural ingredients of beeswax, honey extracts, sage, St.Johns Wort, chamomile and organically grown flax. Hopi ear candle treatment is considered a classic clearance therapy and has been used to help with many problems relating to the ear, nose and throat. It is soothing and helpful for earache and headache, tinnitus, stress and nervousness. It helps to balance the pressure in the ears, forehead and sinuses.
Hypnotherapy - hypnosis is similiar to day-dreaming which we experience on a daily basis and in this pleasant relaxed state the conscious mind is off-guard and the subconcious mind is easily accessible. The subconcious mind is where information is stored about past events and experiences, behaviours, attitudes, emotions, supressed and repressed feelings. If some of these are no longer useful to you they could be holding you back from becoming what you truly desire. Hypnotherapy can help resolve many of these issues and move you from where you are now to where you truly want to be.

Massage

Clinical massage therapy - is an advanced, highly skilled method of treatment and relieves specific complaints of pain and disfunction. It brings about a healthy balanced function to muscles and joints. Clinical massage therapy works primarily on the muscles, joints and other related soft tissues, and can successfully treat most minor musculoskeletal problems. It treats the individual with the understanding that everything within the physical body is both connected and relaxed.
Clinical massage treatment is safe, non-invasive and highly versatile.
Indian Head Massage - can improve sleep and insomnia, help relieve eye strain, mental tiredness and edginess, headaches and migraines. It sooths away stress and tension, relaxing the body, mind and spirit. This treatment can be given with or without the use of oils.
Natural Facelift Massage - combining Eastern and Western massage techniques, this stimulates the body's own anti-aging abilities to tone and relax the face, without the need for chemical or surgical intervention.
Remedial Massage - is deep tissue massage that efficiently treats injuries. It removes blockages and damaged cells, speeding up recovery and encouraging complete healing. Regular massage ensures that unnoticeably small injuries are treated before they reduce performance. It effectively removes scar tissue remaining after old injuries, reducing repeat injuries. Lack of blood supply to the spine is a significant cause of long-term back pain. Lack of movement and incorrect use of muscles reduces oxygen supply, resulting in pain. Remedial Massage increases blood supply to soft tissue. Following a recent injury, improvement or complete recovery is seen after 1-3 sessions. It is especially effective for reducing pain.
Sports Massage - is the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, ligaments and tendons. Massage, applied skillfully, is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system. Received regularly this may help athletes prevent injuries, which might otherwise be caused by overuse. A constant build up of tension in the muscles from regular activity may lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as the muscles themselves. These muscle imbalances may develop and often go undiagnosed until they are serious enough to cause the athlete discomfort or impede performance. The skilled massage therapist will be able to detect variations in the soft tissues and by using the correct techniques, help the sports person maintain a much healthier physical state. Massage, applied skillfully, is the most effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculo-skeletal system. Received regularly this may help athletes prevent injuries, which might otherwise be caused by overuse. state. It may therefore be reasonably claimed that one of the greatest benefits of sports massage is in helping prevent injury.
Swedish Massage - Developed by Henrik Ling in Sweden in the 1700s, Swedish massage is particularly to allow the body to absorb more oxygen, thereby rejuvenating the body and is also geared towards detoxification by increasing the speed by which the cells of the body eliminate their waste materials. Benefits include reduction in muscle spasm, pain and tension; release of endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers; relaxation, improved blood circulation, improved mobility; improved lymphatic drainage; reduction of swelling caused by an accumulation of fluid in the tissues and balances the overall flow of natural life energy through the body.
Osteopath - An osteopaths skill lies in the ability to understand how the body's structure intimately relates with its ability to function and he is able to recognise structural imbalance by touch. Treatment is both gentle and speciic and the main aim is to help restore the ability of the body to heal itself. This is done by physical application of techniques by the practitioner, together with advice on posture and exercises to stretch and strengthen the patient. Osteopathy is safe and effective. Although osteopaths treat many conditions, most people think of us as ‘back specialists’. Back pain is what many osteopaths treat a lot of the time. Osteopathic treatment does not target symptoms only but treats the parts of the body that have caused the symptoms. Osteopaths have a holistic approach and believe that your whole body will work well if your body is in good structural balance. Osteopaths assess and treat people of any age from the elderly to the newborn and from pregnant women to sports people.
Physiotherapy - is a health profession that assesses and provides treatment to individuals to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and function throughout life. This includes providing treatment in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease or environmental factors. Physiotherapists specialise in a number of areas, including back/neck pain, sports injuries, whiplash, and orthopaedics. This encompasses physical, psychological, emotional, and social well being. It involves the interaction between physical therapist, patients/clients, other health professionals, families, care givers, and communities in a process where movement potential is assessed and goals are agreed upon, using knowledge and skills unique to physical therapists.
Reiki - means 'universal life energy' and is a natural form of healing which involves the laying on of hands through clothing. It can stimulate physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and energetic healing. On a physical level it can effect change in the chemical structure of the body by helping to rebalance organs and rebuild tissue, reduce pain and inflammation. Whichever level the energy is working on it can confer a deep state of relaxation and a sense of nurturing & peace and may provide insight into the cause/origin of particular problems or difficulties.
Relexology - is a complementary therapy that treats the whole of the body and is used to help re-balance energy by stimulating reflex points on the feet which correspond to various parts of the body. This releases blockages in channels throughout the body, allowing systems to flow freely and function effectively. It is a gentle therapy that can be used on anybody, including the elderly, the infirm and even babies. it can for example, help with PMS, sciatica, aches and pains, digestive disorders, MS, menopausal symptoms, migraines, back pain, sleep disorders, fertility, arthritis and stress related conditions. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet, and by working on these points the Reflexologist can release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body. Tensions are eased, circulation improved and the elimination of toxins in the system enhanced. This gentle therapy encourages the body to heal itself. Following a treatment most people note a sense of well-being and relaxation and calm.
