Massage therapy has been used for thousands of years to promote physical and emotional wellbeing across the world.
Manipulation of the soft muscle tissues can help relieve tension in tired and fatigued muscles, allowing them to relax. Massage deeply effects the nervous system and helps promote a state of rest and relaxation throughout the body, initiating many beneficial physiological reactions. We aim to practice holistically, meaning that we treat the body and the mind as whole, and take into account both the physical and mental wellbeing of the client.
Because of the individual nature of our clients, treatments can vary widely. Deep, remedial massage can be applied to treat specific problem areas, or gentle, skin deep massage can be performed to promote a sense of deep, full body relaxation.
About Us
We completed our massage therapy training with the well respected Massage Training Institute, gaining a diploma in Holistic Massage, Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. We are both fully insured and first aid trained. As part of our annual membership with the MTI we undertake regular professional development, gaining new skills and expertise in the world of body therapy.
We both believe that regular massage can have a significant benefit on physical and mental wellbeing, and that receiving and giving massage is something we should all have the opportunity to take part in.
We both try to live as holistically as possible and have interests in meditation, yoga, nutrition and music.
We are based near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, where you can visit us at Woolpit Complimentary www.woolpit-complimentary.co.uk, or we can arrange to visit you at your own home.
