SERVICES

Osteopathy helps ease pain, mobilise stiff joints, release muscular tension and rehabilitate after injury, and I am experienced at treating many sorts of musculo-skeletal injuries and problems.

But you dont have to be injured or in pain to benefit from osteopathic treatment - osteopathy is one of the healing arts and it works with the whole of you. A treatment can be very balancing, and many people use osteopathy to enhance emotional and psychological wellbeing, increase relaxation, reduce stress and maintain optimal health.

I work effectively and with sensitivity, using a blend of traditional osteopathic and cranial techniques, according to what you need. Osteopathy and Cranial Osteopathy are suitable for everyone - including, for example, pregnant women, the elderly and all ages.

Whether you've got a muscle or joint sprain after gardening, a sports injury, whiplash from trauma or a traffic accident, osteopathy can help you rebalance and recover.

ABOUT SUE STEP

My own journey began with personal involvement in meditation, healing arts, bodywork and movement therapies. My osteopathic work continues to be informed by these influences.

After initially practising as a soft tissue therapist, I wanted to deepen my understanding of the body and healing, and went on to study osteopathy, graduating in 1998.

I engage in ongoing reflective practice and undertake continued professional development, to help ensure that clients receive the best standards of care.

The body and mind are deeply interwoven, and I find that osteopathy is a helpful means of accessing and working with this bodymind connection.

The act of being present with and ‘witnessing’ another can in itself be healing and support the body's innate capacity to rebalance.

As an osteopath I aim to be as aware as possible of the background factors that might be contributing to any symptoms that a person may have, and respond and treat appropriately.
