SERVICES

Having spent over 20 years in the fitness Industry I have lots of experience and vast amounts of qualifications and can humbly say Im the most advanced Personal Trainer in the Area !

My 2 Specialities are Weight Loss of which I am the leader in the field in this area! As well as keeping up with the latest knowledge in nutrition and weight management I am also a a Life Coach and work on the psychological and emotional side of slimming to! My other speciality is Back Pain, Joint and Muscle Pain and Sporting Injuries of which I cover all aspects of the body: muscle, bone(joint), fascia, neuro muscular and internal energy systems to bring balance to the body. I also offer muscle balance and postural programmes and exercise for Lower Back Pain to keep you pain free and mobile without the need for more treatments, I am constantly out performing NHS Physios, Osteopaths and Chiropractors in this field!(see testimonials)

I also work on a well being Level offering Yoga , Tai Chi, Meditation, Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Spiritual and Personal Development! My philosphy is to have Body, Mind and Spirit working on an optimum level and in unison for Total Health!

When it comes to personal training I can quite humbly say I am not only the most experienced PT in the Buxton area but also the most qualified ! I have taken my understanding of the human body to another level compared to your usual personal trainer ! Not only on a physical level but biological and science level, including the real science of nutrition and how to get the most out of the human body and the human mind to help you reach your goals !



Back Pain, Muscle Pain and Joint Pain, Sports Injuries

Here at Mind Body and Soul Fitness Buxton I work on the body as a whole not as seperate parts, you dont just develop joint, muscle and back pain by accident, unless you have had an accident of course! A body that is out of alignment through muscle imbalances, faulty centre of gravity, bad posture and bad working conditions will eventually lead to injuries and athritis etc ! Any mechanical device that is running in faulty alignment is going to get problems and the body is no different! Faulty biomechanics will lead to injury, aches and pains. So when someone comes to me with a problem its a full body assessment and as well as treating the problem I give them the right correctional exercises for lasting pain relief and improved mobility often better mobility than they have ever had!

As a therapist I have made it my mission to keep up with latest therapies and have as many tools in my box as possible to give me all I need to fix problems and pain! My tool box is pretty inclusive, including Sports Massage(deep tissue), Bowen Therapy, NST Bowen, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Spinal Touch, Dorn Method( a very gentle technique to gently guide and manipulate the vertabrae, pelvis and other joints back into alignment). As well as correctional exercises with MBT(muscle balance therapy), Postural Correction, Exercise for Lower Back !

As a result of my expansive knowledge, experience and large tool box I am constantly out performing NHS Physios, Osteopaths, Chiropractors and other Physios!

About Me

Hi. my name is Anthony and I am originally from Manchester, when I was 11 I moved to Buxton ! As a boy I was very small and skinny which was why I started training when I left school ,I soon put on muscle and also began to learn to box leading me to achieving the Derbyshire County Welterweight Championship! It was also around this time that I first began my career in the Fitness Industry as a gym instructor of which I was full time for a few years but because of finances started other work, whilst still doing Gym work part time ! After years doing work I didnt enjoy I decided to go fulltime again in the Health and Fitness Industry, by becoming a Personal Trainer and became a fully qualified PT in 2000! Not one to sit on my laurels I have constantly added to my skills covering all aspecst of fitness , Strength Training and Bodybuilding, Cardio and Aerobic Conditioning,Peak Performance,Curcuit Training,Olympic and Power Lifting, Sports Specific, Nutrition and Weight Management,Exercise for the Elderly,Postural Correction and Muscle Balance Therapy, Exercise For Lower Back Pain.

I also during my years came to understand the importance of the mind in traing and weight loss so completed a Lifecoaching Course, as well as attending weight loss courses that involved changing peoples attitudes and habits! Nutrition is not just a job to me its also a hobby of which I have a great interest and keep up with all the latest science, unlike your GP !

As well as the Gym I Originally did a course in Sports Massage and Remedial Therapy, and since have added more and more therapies, NST(Advanced Bowen Therapy)Bowen Therapy, Dorn Method (a very gentle and safe Spinal and Joint Correction Therapy) Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy and Spinal Touch/Biomechanics. add to these my Muscle Balance Therapy(NVQL3) and Exercise to lower back(NVQL4)

I am constantly out performing NHS physios, Osteopaths and Chiropractors when it comes to releaving Back Joint and Muscle Pain whether its just normal wear and tear or sporting injuries!

I am also very much into eastern practices and teach Yoga , Tai Chi ,Qi Gong, Meditation, Reiki ! So you can see why I call my company the Mind Body and Soul Fitness Company I try to cover all bases when it comes to Health and well being!

With over 30 year experience knowledge and vast amounts of qualifications I can quite happily,honestly, but humbly state myself to be the Leading Personal Trainer, Fitness Health Proffesional in the Area
