Treatments

  • Acupuncture
Helps to re-establish health and redress imbalances by stimulating or sedating the flow of energy running from organs deep within the body out through the skin. Used for acute and chronic conditions of the body and mind.

  • Acupressure Massage
This is given through clothing either in a special chair, (upper body) or on a couch (full body). Pressures are applied to specific points along the energy channels, using a variety of techniques involving the practitioner's hands and arms. The effect is to improve mental alertness, promote health and boost the immune system.

  • Allergy Testing (There are various methods)
The Vega machine is a non-invasive method, measuring responses through acupressure points on the fingers, to highlight sensitivities and weaknesses. Kinesiology is a Muscle Testing technique used to determine the ability of the body to cope with external environmental stresses, including food sensitivities. When a substance is introduced to a muscle group and a change is detected in the strength of the muscle, this is an indication of sensitivity/allergy. The practitioner balances the muscle group using various methods to strengthen the immune system in order for the body to cope. Dowsing using a pendulum (crystal or wood) is a technique both usable by the practitioner and patient/client alike.

  • Alexander Technique
Emphasis is placed on the proper relationships between the head, neck and back. If all is in balance there is harmony throughout the body. This is a teaching method for correcting body posture due to stress and tension where the body has become miss aligned either from injury or pain or bad posture.

  • Aromatherapy Massage
Uses the aroma of oils and flowers, leaves, herbs, fruit etc, to soothingly massage part or the entire body. This helps to heal the body's energy centres and is helpful for many diseases, stress and tensions.

  • Bowen Technique
Bowen Technique is a gentle 'hands on' therapy involving a series of gentle moves on muscle and connective tissue along the body. The treatment is very relaxing and is safe and effective for people of all ages. Many diverse and varied conditions, including sports injuries, can be addressed and there is no situation where the Bowen Technique cannot be safely used.

  • Chiropody

  • Celloid Minerals

  • Colour Therapy

  • Clinical Hypnosis
Help with emotional problems and deep psychological dysfunctions. Helpful in neurosis, phobias, psychosexual problems, weight problems and giving up smoking. By patient counselling the client is helped to understand problems.

  • Cognitive Behavour Therapy

  • Colonic Hydrotherapy
Colonic Hydrotherapy using the closed system and the only system recommended by the Association of Colon Hydrotherapists established 1987. This system requires the therapist to be in constant attention for evaluation and education purposes. The colon is a major part of the excretory system, and is responsible for eliminating food and other body wastes as well as protecting us from infection and disease. Colonic Hydrotherapy/Irrigation is an internal bathing of the colon using warm filtered water to loosen old faecal matter as well as to re-educate the bowel using various massage and water techniques. There is no unpleasant odour or embarrassing sounds heard due to this closed system. (Only disposable equipment used) There is available both a gravity feed system and upto date machine.

  • Counselling
The counsellor will listen to you, help you to understand your feelings and explore ways of making changes. You may find it helpful to look at how past experiences can affect present attitudes and responses. You will be encouraged to take an honest look at your life and how you relate to others.

  • Cranial Osteopathy
Cranial Osteopaths are trained to feel a very subtle rhythmical shape change that is present in all body tissues. This is called involuntary motion. The skull is made up of 26 bones that are intricately joined in such a way that during the rhythmical cycle of involuntary motion, the skull can actually change shape very slightly to accommodate the normal involuntary motion of the brain inside.

  • Crystal Healing
Natural Crystals and Gemstones are conductors of electro magnetic energy, which correct imbalances in the human aura, creating balance and harmony on the spiritual, mental, emotional and consequently the physical levels.

  • Dietary Therapy
Help is given as to the right foods to eat, vitamins, minerals etc. The food we eat has great bearing on what we are. Many health problems can be resolved by correct diet and high quality natural supplements.

  • Kinesiology
Literally, this is the study of muscular movements. It is to some extent a fusion of acupressure and chiropractic technique. It involves manipulating specific electromagnetic points on energy lines (meridians). It helps deal with structural, chemical and mental imbalances of the body.

  • Reflexology
Is the study of reflex points on the feet and hands; if there is an imbalance within the body of any kind such as aches, pains, discomfort, the related area on the feet or hands will experience a feeling of either sharpness or tenderness when the therapist uses compression massage. This technique aims to stimulate the sensory and motor nerves, resulting in the patient creating a healing environment for change.

  • Swedish Massage

  • Osteopathy
A system of diagnosis and treatment of structural and mechanical problems within the body, this is achieved by a combination of structural examination and manipulation of joints and soft tissues.
About us

Worcester Natural Therapy has helped people in the Midlands for over 25yrs. The Centre was originally set up as a Charity and one of its aims was to provide a venue for people to receive Complementary Health Care as well as providing a venue for natural health therapy practitioners.
