She is qualified in Indian head massage and the 'm' technique. As a Soul Midwife she offers support to those at the end of life and their loved ones. My aim is to offer you a calm and supportive environment in which you can find relaxation, renewal and "space to be". Treatment times vary from 40 minutes to 90 minutes and cost between £28 and £45. I can also individually tailor treatments to suit your requirements. Gift vouchers are available for all treatments and make ideal presents.

New clients booking in October will receive a free aromatherapy rollerball remedy with their first treatment. Just mention natural therapy pages when booking!

I love to teach people Reiki, and offer attunements to individuals or small groups. Please see below for more details.

My practice has been based in Emsworth since 1997 which is located on the Hampshire/West Sussex border in the UK.

Bach Flower Remedy consultations are available via email, Skype or phone for clients who are unable to visit personally.

If you would like more information or a friendly chat to decide which of these therapies would be most beneficial for you, I would be delighted to hear from you.

Reiki

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key), is an oriental word meaning Universal Life Force Energy. It is an ancient hands-on healing art, thought to have originated thousands of years ago in Tibet. It is a safe and gentle technique to help you regain balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Reiki is not a religion or belief system and can be used alongside all other forms of treatment, therapy, medicine or natural remedy.

During a Reiki treatment you will be asked to lie, fully clothed, on a comfortable couch. The healer places her hands on or above your body at specific points. The Reiki energy flows through the healer and goes wherever it is needed.

A treatment leaves you feeling relaxed, peaceful and energized.

Reiki Attunements

Have you ever thought about learning Reiki yourself? This safe and gentle technique is simple to learn and the benefits last a lifetime.

Are you looking for a way to help yourself and/or others? Maybe you are searching for a way to bring more joy and self-knowledge into your life? I love to teach people Reiki, either one-to-one or in a small group, so the day is tailored especially to you. It is suitable for complete beginners or those with more experience.

I offer attunements to Reiki levels 1, 2 and Master and have worked with people from many different backgrounds and experience. Sometimes people have learned Reiki in the past and feel they need to refresh their skills or maybe be re-attuned to a particular level. Please do contact me and we can work out the best approach for you.

If you are drawn to find out more or feel that now is the time to learn or deepen your knowledge of Reiki then I would love to hear from you!

Bach Flower Remedies

Who are Bach Flower Remedies for?

  • Anyone of any age - even plants and animals can benefit from their gentle action.

  • For anyone who is experiencing the emotional ups and downs of everyday life.

  • For those who seek a sense of balance and a more positive outlook on life.

  • For those facing challenges or change and seeking help to move forward.

  • For anyone who feels anxious, depressed, ill-at-ease, lacking in confidence or facing periods of shock, trauma and distress.

Bach Flowers are a system of 38 remedies to help you through the ups and downs of everyday life. There is also a composite remedy called "Rescue Remedy" which many people know and find very helpful. They were discovered over 60 years ago by Dr Bach, a respected Harley Street doctor, who felt that our physical health is dependant upon our emotional outlook.
The remedies focus upon a person's personality and emotions rather than specific physical complaints. By restoring peace of mind they allow the body to gently heal itself.
A consultation lasts for between 45 and 60 minutes and includes a treatment bottle for you to take away. I will also give you advice on how to use this gentle and safe system for yourself. If you are unable to visit me personally I am very happy to offer consultations over the phone or via email.

Aromatherapy

What is Aromatherapy?
An aromatherapy treatment combines the wonderful healing properties of essential oils with the therapeutic properties of massage. It is a wonderful way to relax, rebalance and harmonize your whole being. It encourages the body to heal itself by inspiring physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Aromatherapy treatments can benefit conditions such as headaches, digestive problems,P.M.T., insomnia, depression and stress or simply provide you with the relaxing experience you deserve! An initial appointment includes an in-depth consultation, which allows me to choose the most beneficial oils for you. These are then applied using a combination of therapeutic and acupressure massage to strengthen and balance the body's energy. My clients often tell me that the treatment feels "gentle but deep".

Aromatherapy oils can also form part of an aromatic reflexology treatment or indian head massage. Where appropriate I can also make an individual bath oil, cream or blend for you to use at home, to continue the benefits of your treatment.

In some cases where massage is inappropriate eg when someone is very fragile or critically ill, the 'm' technique may be used. It is a gentle method of touch that was created by a critical care nurse. The 'm' technique can have a measurable therapeutic effect on nervous tension, anxiety, depression, grief, fear, chronic fatigue, migraine, lowered immune function and chronic pain. If you would like to know more about the 'm' technique, please contact me.

Sukshma Marma Therapy

This subtle, profound and deeply relaxing therapy has its origins in Ayurveda and is suitable for everyone. Sukshma means "gentle", "delicate" or "subtle" and sessions can include treatment of the back, face/head, hands and feet. It is the result of many years of research, study and practical experience by Dr Ernst Schrott, Dr J R Raju and yoga teacher Stefan Schrott. Using special essential oil blends, a session involves the treatment of classical marma points and energy channels in the body.

Soul Midwifery

What is Soul Midwifery?
Soul midwives are non-medical companions who guide and support those in the dying process, helping the person to have a loving, dignified and peaceful death. They are available to sit with someone, listen, talk about fears surrounding death and offer gentle therapeutic techniques where appropriate. This might include gentle massage or Reiki for example. They create a loving and sacred space for someone who is dying and are also available to support the family and loved ones. A soul midwife can work with someone at all stages of transition, at home or in a hospital or hospice.

If you would like to know more about soul midwifery or have any questions then I would love to hear from you. You may also find it helpful to look at www.soulmidwives.co.uk for information about this approach and it's creator, Felicity Warner.
