We offer professional training in small class groups to enable us to give
greater individual attention.
Courses will gain a VTCT certificate.
Workshops will gain a Preston Therapy Centre certificate.
Preston Therapy Centre's study programme allows some flexibility as only when a student feels fully confident in the required professional skills will they be given a final assessment. There is no pressure to rush into completion of the course and you progress at your own pace. We offer on-going support to students who are encouraged to maintain regular contact with the tutors for help and guidance.

This practitioner level qualification is an important foundation course that forms the basis of a number of other qualifications.

Infant Massage
(VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Infant & Child Massage )
The popularity of this very gentle but highly effective treatment is increasing rapidly. This course will qualify you to teach parents/carers how to massage babies and toddlers safely and effectively to achieve a variety of beneficial results. The extremely positive outcome is a very happy contented child, not to mention a stress-free parent. It's also an excellent way of aiding the bonding process whilst giving more confidence in handling baby, especially with first time parents. Work with individuals or groups. Home Study Course
The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology (QCF) provides you with knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the human body including structure and functions of the skin, hair, nails, skeleton, muscles, nerves, circulatory and lymphatic systems, endocrine and respiratory systems, digestive, urinary and reproductive systems.
This knowledge allows identification of key factors of a healthy body. Common diseases and disorders are included in order to identify conditions which might restrict or contra- indicate complementary therapy treatments, and to assist in planning the most appropriate treatment.
There are no pre-requirements of any other training needed
Training is by guided home study, which is supported throughout. Final assessment is by written paper at the centre. These qualifications are based on working towards competency and can be completed at your own pace around your commitments.

Lymphatic Drainage
1 day workshop for qualified practitioners.
Lymphatic Drainage massage helps filter bacteria and rid the body of toxins whilst maintaining correct fluid balance in the tissues. Beneficial after injury and illness to help re-balance and strengthen the body. If the body becomes stressed in any way, through injury, tension, illness, lymph is restricted and toxins accumulate in the tissues. This course covers techniques to stimulate the lymphatic system and help maintain its core function. Lymphatic drainage massage can help with a range of problems including detoxifying the body, sinus problems, swollen legs and ankles, lymphoedema, muscle damage, fluid retention and many other associated problems.

Stone Therapy 1 day workshop for qualified therapists
This therapy uses both hot and cold stones which are massaged onto the body, thus allowing heat/cold to penetrate the surrounding muscles. Using Electrical Massagers 1 day workshop for qualified therapists
Using electrical massagers as part of your treatments gives many benefits, not least being that it is much easier on you as a therapist. You and your clients will benefit considerably, you’ll get fantastic results and it’s something different to offer. Deeper muscle work at the switch of a button.
You will wonder how you ever managed without them.
FHT will accept this workshop if you are qualified in Swedish/Body/Aromatherapy massage so that you can use it within your treatments. It is probably the same for other insurers too but it is best to check with them
