Postnatal Depression


Postnatal depression is a disorder which, commonly occurring from one to three months after childbirth. Postnatal depression can cause women to feel low, become unable to enjoy motherhood, experience heightened irritability, a notable amount of sleep disturbance, loss of appetite, feelings of anxiety and fear of harming the baby. Medication, counselling, psychotherapy, homeopathy, herbal therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine and relaxation therapies can all help to treat postnatal depression.
