Haemophilia

Haemophilia is a disease in which the blood does not clot; causing bleeding that is very hard to control. The most common form of haemophilia affects males in most cases. Haemophilia is often genetically inherited and is caused by low clotting factors or a clotting factor missing altogether. Bleeding and bruising are the two major signs of haemophilia, and internal bleeding is also common. The treatment for haemophilia includes replacement therapy, in which the clotting factors that are not present or are too low are replaced in the body; medication; self-hypnosis; herbal medicine; homoeopathy; and physical therapy.
